Events

The AHRG holds regular Club Rallies throughout each year. The style of event varies from family oriented social outings to serious navigational rallies. With each competitive style event we endeavour to capture the spirit of what rallies were like back before they became forest races where there was a strong emphasis on both driving and navigational skills.

Typically, we open each year's activities with the fabled Fluffy Duck. A typical club rally with navigation, driving, observation, and often the odd special test such as a Khanacross or Motorkhana. Then in winter, the annual Night Owl is conducted. This is a more intense event over good quality bituemen and gravel roads for seasoned rally competitors. It also presentsa good opportunity for novices to gain valuable experience in this style of rally. Then, in the spring, the Heart of the Hunter is run. This is a day-time event for the family and usually includes a BBQ lunch stop and a mid afternoon finish.
